To help us fuel accelerated growth, we are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join the US Acquiring team as a part of the Global Payment Processing unit of Paysafe.  The US Acquiring teams owns the platform that includes merchant onboarding, customer portal, back office, and multiple customer APIs and backend services.  This team is responsible for building the product suite capabilities used by over 100K customers as well as building and enhancing connections to backend payment processors, gateways, vendors, and APIs.

 

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Developing the engineering team (both software engineers and test engineers) by honing technical skills and advancing their career
  • Leading and owning outcomes based on commitments
  • Empowering the engineering team to deliver consistently with high quality
  • Partnering with stakeholders, product leaders, and other engineering teams
  • Guiding the team forward in engineering disciplines and practices
  • Advocating and advancing modern, agile development practices

 

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field of study
  • 8 plus years of related software development experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience leading direct reports with agile development practices
  • A track record for leading high performing engineering teams
  • A deep desire to see people thrive in a culture of trust, accountability, and excellence
  • Technical experience building systems using the Microsoft technology platform as well as web application frameworks
  • The technical acumen to help engineers solve problems and design solutions
  • Experience and practices to help engineers grow individually and as a team by leading by example, aligning focus, and executing on commitments
  • Strong and effective communication skills

 

Nice to have:  

  • Experience in building cloud-native solutions in Azure/AWS
  • Knowledge of event driven, distributed, and microservices architectures
  • Previous experience in the payment processing industry
