As the primary People Partner for the Austria location, you will have a vital role in providing a sounding board and provide visible, on-the-ground leadership during a period of transformation. You will be a trusted advisor, coaching and guiding all people managers, driving accountability and a high-performance culture across the organisation. This role is being offered on a fixed-term contract basis.
In close partnership with the People Enablement function your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with people leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organisation's overall goals and objectives
- Serve as the local interface to the global People functions, translating global transformation requirements into practical, compliant and credible local implementation activities
- Develop and execute change management strategies, including development of the people implementation and communication plan
- Support and equip leaders to lead through change
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Austrian MDs, managers and employees, providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and Austrian employment laws
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough investigations as necessary
- Communication and collaboration with the Works Council as appropriate
- Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and practices throughout the organisation
- Leverage data-driven insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement of HR practices
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Resilience and demonstrable experience of managing change in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience as a strategic People Partner / HR Business Partner or in a similar strategic HR role, preferably in an international / global role
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand and align HR strategies with organisational goals
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, Austrian employment laws, and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in leading or managing large scale change initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain solid stakeholder relationships
- Must have excellent language skills (written and verbal) in both German and English
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity
