Responsibilities:
- Lead merchant onboarding specialists responsible for collecting and verifying merchant information, configuring accounts, and apply merchant accounts changes according compliance policies
- Support the team with deep expertise in the onboarding journeys for different products, troubleshooting issues and remove road blockers.
- Partner with other departments (e.g. sales, risk, compliance) to ensure a smooth and collaborative onboarding experience.
- Proactively identify and address potential onboarding challenges and bottlenecks.
- Continuously measure and improve the onboarding process based on key metrics and industry best practices.
- Ensure data consistency and integrity to enable data driven decisions and senior management reporting.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Work in close collaboration with the Team Manager.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of onboarding and maintenance specialists.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting motivation, ownership and accountability.
- Track and measure individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and mentoring.
- Delegate tasks effectively and empower team members to take ownership of their responsibilities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, and develop high-performing teams
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Risk)
- Prior involvement in process improvement and optimization
- Proficiency in relevant onboarding and CRM systems/tools (experience with payment/fintech platforms is a plus)
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work with data accuracy and integrity, supporting reporting and audits
- Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage)
Considered as an advantage:
- Proven experience in merchant onboarding within a financial or fintech environment
- Familiarity with onboarding journeys for different financial products and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
