We are seeking a skilled and motivated ServiceNow Developer to join our team. This role combines technical expertise in managing the ServiceNow platform with the ability to engage with business stakeholders to ensure its optimal performance and alignment with organizational needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for streamlining processes, enhancing user experiences, and driving continuous improvement in platform utilization.

 

What you will do: 

  • Perform routine system maintenance, including system upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow modules and applications according to business requirements
  • Develop and maintain workflows, scripts, and integrations to support various functions within the platform
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption
  • Implement minor changes and continuous improvements to existing functionality
  • Maintain compliance with organizational security and governance practices
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business needs, challenges, and opportunities
  • Translate business requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions that align with organizational goals
  • Monitor and analyze system metrics to recommend and implement optimizations
  • Stay current with the latest ServiceNow releases and functionality to leverage new capabilities effectively
  • Advise the wider ITSM and Technology Operations teams on various ServiceNow functionalities and setup

To be successful you need to have: 

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS and familiarity with APIs
  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, modules, and capabilities
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Knowledge of ITSM processes and their implementation within ServiceNow
  • Strong incident management skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve platform issues efficiently
  • Experience managing platform roadmaps and driving system improvements
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • ServiceNow certifications (such as Administrator, Developer, or Implementation Specialist in IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM) are highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Integrated Risk Management (IRM) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) modules
  • Familiarity with latest ServiceNow features and releases
  • Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer and Integration Hub
  • Previous experience in a similar role with operational support responsibilities
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and principles
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
