Responsibilities:

  • Quantitative/Qualitative risk assessment to monitor risk merchant portfolio.
  • Carry out Periodic and Ad hoc reviews on merchants in the portfolio to ensure credit and transactional quality in line with credit policy.
  • Daily monitoring and actions on both internal and external alert notifications
  • Optimise the early problem identification and management/watchlist process with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain and report on key risk and data metrics of the merchant portfolio to ensure credit and transactional processing quality in line with credit policy
  • Partner with the wider risk function and commercial business units on aviation and travel related issues.
  • Provide to risk management and Risk Committee pro-active insights, issues, threats, and opportunities in different verticals and sectors.
  • Supports and trains junior team members
  • Represent the Credit Risk team at cross-functional working groups and participate is special projects/assignments
  • Follow the high standards of the company in regard to quality and timelines or responses

 

To be successful you need to have:

  • Significant experience in Credit Risk and/or Underwriting specifically in an online payments institution/commercial banking/acquiring environment.
  • Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience in the payments industry.
  • Significant experience in financial assessment with the context of card and alternative payments credit risk management
  • Experience in using business credit reference agencies
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently or within the team
  • Confidence in meeting and working with clients and making independent decisions
  • Strong communication skills and confidence to probe for additional information
  • A methodical approach with attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office, Excel and prior experience in using formulas and tools used for more complex analysis of data
