We are currently looking to find a Network Engineer to join our team of professionals.
As a member of our Network Operations team, you will be primarily responsible for helping ensure the various networking devices and network environments are fully operational and offer a high level of security and availability.
What to expect:
- Install, configure, and maintain firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless networks.
- Perform all operational duties associated with the network environments, including VPN access, wireless access, monitoring, network performance management, network security maintenance, network-related problem troubleshooting.
- Support complex application solutions distributed globally or locally.
- Participate in the implementation of networking solutions to support major projects and new initiatives
- Document scripting standards with written procedures, processes, diagrams, and other technical documents
- Participate in on call activities related to emergency technical support and follow the implemented IT Service Management process to provide 24/7 network support.
- Resolve all Incidents accepted by the business SLAs
- Analyze opportunities for the possible improvement of existing network infrastructure
- Integrate network tools to improve the overall efficiency of IT operations and reduce downtime.
- Manage and report on assigned projects, tasks, and support cases
- Able to travel for special and occasional projects
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications or equivalent.
- 3+ years of industry experience in Network Engineering is a must.
- Previous experience with the support of large enterprise and data center networks and in managing high-availability environments, including the industry’s data security-compliant networks.
- Experience with unassisted configuration and deployment of network components. Investigating faults and performance issues in the network.
- Outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and respond quickly to provide action plans to solve the problem
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, SDN and VPN technologies. firewall, wireless, DNS, DHCP (CCNP is an asset)
- Knowledge and experience with Cisco data center equipment - Nexus, Firepower, FTD, FMC, ACI, ASR, etc. Experience with at least one major network vendor (Cisco ACI is preferred).
- Good understanding of IT Security, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Certificates, PEN tests, remediation processes, etc.
- Team player with good coordination and communication skills, fluent verbal and written English is a must
- Ability to work under pressure within a global team (different time zones) in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Occasionally working hours are to be shifted to cover the North American time zone starting at 12:00 or 13:00 Bulgarian time.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Knowledge and experience with Palo Alto Next generation firewalls is considered an advantage.
- AWS Certification - AWS Solution Architect Associate/ AWS Certified Advanced Networking will be considered a strong advantage.
- Experience in IT automation (Ansible, Terraform) and at least one scripting language (Python), Knowledge of infrastructure as code approach and automation tools, CI/CD pipeline and Git (or other version control systems for tracking source code changes) will be considered a plus
- Automate network monitoring and alert triage as part of a proactive approach to maintaining a high level of service. Build reports to gain intelligence about the network and detect errors early.
- Previous experience with Orion monitoring platform and Splunk would be considered as an advantage.
- Working experience with UNIX or Linux operating system environments.
- Understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Infrastructure Libraries (ITIL) processes would be considered as an advantage
