We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation Counsel to join our legal team. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Litigation, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing certain litigation matters, supporting the team in responding to regulatory inquiries, managing external subpoenas, as well as providing support to the VP Global Litigation on larger mandates, and assisting the operations team in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of litigation processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee certain litigation matters
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to company departments.
  • Oversee subpoena response processes
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports on litigation matters as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address legal issues in order to mitigate risks.

 

Qualifications:

  • Law degree from an accredited law school.
  • Registered attorney in good standing
  • 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm.
  • Strong understanding of litigation processes and procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in English

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in handling complex litigation matters.
  • Knowledge of payment regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with e-discovery tools and technology.
  • Familiarity with international law
