What to expect:

  • Contribute to all phases of software development lifecycle – requirements clarification, architecture, development, testing and operations.
  • Provide technical leadership to an agile team for clarity and guidance on technical implementation, architecture and removal of technical impediments.
  • Advocate, teach and mentor the team for the best practices in coding, architecture, agile culture and software development.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects and other teams for clarification of requirements and technical execution.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of a technical roadmap.
  • Be a role model for the company values and technical excellence.
  • Freedom to make your own decisions and have your opinion heard in our ecosystem of core platform and hundreds of microservices.
  • Being responsible for some of our most critical pieces of code, which process billions of Euro worth of transactions each year.
  • Share knowledge and hold tech talks within the development community.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share best practices with the team.


Team:

You'll be part of one Agile team (out of nearly 50), consisting of several engineers; a team that has full ownership of their respective piece of code and functionality and is free to create its own rules that fit into a much bigger process. Our teams are working on some of our leading products, such as our Digital Wallets (Skrill & NETELLER), our Embedded Wallet solution, our Payment Gateway (Netbanx), Paysafecard, as well as various Risk and Compliance functionalities across the board.

 


Your Profile:

  • Advanced understanding of microservices architecture and software development
  • Experience in guiding technical direction, and mentoring developers—without direct people management responsibilities.
  • At least 7 years of experience with Java 17+
  • Experience and knowledge with AI tooling is considered an advantage.
  • Good understanding and experience with Spring framework and Kafka.
  • Good knowledge of basic security concepts
  • Desire to learn and to be challenged.
  • Working command of the English language
  • It would be an advantage if you have knowledge in any of the following - AWS/Kubernetes/Angular
