As a Product Design Lead, you will drive the UX strategy and execution for products that empower merchants to accept payments, manage transactions, and grow their businesses efficiently. You will lead user-centered design initiatives, ensuring seamless, intuitive, and high-performing experiences across our merchant platforms, including payment gateways, business wallets, and acceptance solutions. 
This role requires a balance ofstrategic thinking, leadership, and hands-on design expertise, while also exploringAI-driven enhancementsto optimize user interactions and decision-making. You will collaborate withProduct, Engineering, AI/ML, and Business teamsto deliver impactful solutions that align with business goals and customer needs. 

 

What you will do:
User-Centered Strategy & Leadership 

  • Define and execute a UX vision and strategy for the merchant experience, ensuring alignment with business objectives. 
  • Advocate for user needs, integrating data-driven insights and AI-enhanced experiences where appropriate. 
  • Drive a research-backed approach to product design, leveraging user feedback, behavioral data, and market trends. 

UX & Product Collaboration 

  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and AI/ML teams to create intuitive and scalable merchant solutions. 
  • Own the end-to-end UX process, from discovery to delivery, ensuring high usability and accessibility. 
  • Champion UX best practices and standardize design frameworks for merchant portals and payment solutions. 

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Lead and mentor UX designers, fostering a high-performance design culture. 
  • Empower designers with processes, tools, and growth opportunities to enhance their impact. 
  • Drive a collaborative environment, balancingspeed, agility, and innovationin a fintech setting. 

Research & Insights 

  • Conduct or oversee UX research, usability testing, and customer feedback loops. 
  • Measure and iterate on design success using qualitative and quantitative data. 
  • Identify opportunities forAI-driven insights and automationto improve the merchant experience. 

Operational & Business Impact 

  • Align UX strategies with KPIs, business outcomes, and customer satisfaction goals. 
  • Ensure UX solutions comply with fintech regulations, security, and compliance standards. 
  • Advocate for acustomer-centric culturewithin the organization. 

 

 

To be successful you need to have:

 

  • Experience: 8+ years in UX/Product Design, with 3+ years leading design teams in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS. 
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage, mentor, and scale UX teams in a high-growth environment. 
  • Fintech Knowledge: Strong understanding of merchant payment systems, gateways, acquiring, and wallets. 
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, AI/ML, and Business teams. 
  • UX Mastery: Expertise in design thinking, user research, prototyping, and usability testing. 
  • AI & Data-Driven UX: Familiarity with leveraging AI insights or automation to enhance UX is a plus. 
  • Communication:Strong storytelling and stakeholder influence skills.
