What to expect:
- Lead the end-to-end compliance risk assessment processes of Paysafe related to the various elements of the Compliance framework on the various process, policy, geography, framework, business, entity, etc. levels.
- Establish and maintain the various compliance risk assessment standards and methodologies, in line with Paysafe’s approach.
- Prepare various compliance risk assessments, in line with the relevant policies and standards.
- Support a team of Compliance risk assessment officers and guide them with expertise and motivate them to deliver high value Compliance risk assessments, in line with Paysafe’s policies and relevant standards.
- Liaise with stakeholders across, Compliance, Risk, Product, Business, Operations and other functions, to address compliance risk assessment related issues, propose business improvements and drive execution.
- Track the implementation of actions and recommendations, as well as monitor completion.
- Act as an internal subject matter expert for the conduct of risk assessments and develop department capability around AML/Compliance risk assessments and decision processes aligned with Paysafe’s operating model and risk strategy.
- Conduct research on industry leading practices for risk assessment matters pertaining to the payments industry.
- Prepare other documentation and information related to the Compliance framework
- Prepare documentation and information (incl. reports and other data) for relevant Committees as well as external stakeholders.
- Attend internal as well as external meetings with relevant stakeholders, including Committees.
To be successful you need to have:
- 3+ years of post‑qualification experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or Financial Crime within international financial services, payments, fintech, or regulated environments.
- University degree in a related discipline.
- Proven experience designing, executing, and maintaining AML/Compliance risk assessments across products, processes, entities, and geographies.
- Strong working knowledge of AML/CTF, sanctions, ABC, and broader regulatory compliance frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
- Hands‑on experience with risk mapping, control effectiveness assessments, gap analysis, residual risk evaluation, and remediation tracking.
- Good understanding of merchant and consumer compliance, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, investigations, and business or product change assessments.
- Demonstrated ability to act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, translating risk assessment outcomes into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Experience leading, mentoring, or providing functional oversight to Compliance or Risk professionals and ensuring consistent, high‑quality outputs.
- Excellent stakeholder management, organizational, and project management skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of Spanish or German would be an advantage.
