Role Overview

The Billing Services Manager leads day‑to‑day billing operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and audit‑ready invoicing across multiple payment products and regions. This role manages a team of billing analysts and partners closely with Finance, Pricing Implementation, Product, Sales and Operations to protect revenue, maintain strong controls, and continuously improve billing processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end billing operations, including off‑statement/manual billing, adjustments, and fee processing across acquiring and payment platforms
  • Ensure invoice accuracy, contractual compliance, and timely billing in line with control and audit requirements
  • Partner with Pricing Implementation and other stakeholders to support pricing updates and correct fee application
  • Oversee billing assurance activities, reconciliations, and issue resolution
  • Maintain strong documentation, SOPs, and evidence to support SOX/audit readiness
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of billing analysts; set priorities and ensure consistent delivery
  • Drive process improvements and automation to improve quality, efficiency, and scalability

Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in billing, finance operations, or a related finance role
  • Proven experience leading or managing teams
  • Strong understanding of billing processes, reconciliations, and financial controls
  • Experience working in complex, high‑volume or regulated environments (payments, financial services, or similar)
  • Strong stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills
  • High attention to detail with a continuous‑improvement mindset
