What to expect:
- Ensure Paysafe remains compliant with all relevant Sanctions regulations
- Lead and define the Pep and Sanctions screening approach on customers, vendors, third parties and transactions against all relevant sanctions watchlists.
- Identify red flags that may be associated with sanctions evasion, money laundering, and/or terrorist financing.
- Engage and collaborate across business lines to enhance existing pep and sanctions screening tools and identify and implement additional processes as needed.
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and appropriately document policies, procedures, and investigative outcomes.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with various business contacts and stakeholders regarding a range of sanctions-related issues.
- Prepare reports and escalate significant risks and issues in a timely manner.
- Support all components of the Global Sanctions programme, as needed, which may include projects with a focus on operational, strategic, or technological needs.
- Support firm-wide training efforts related to sanctions compliance.
- Define and oversee the activity of the Pep and Sanctions operational teams
- Communicating with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and address any concerns
- Process management for Sanctions matters
To be successful you need to have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a senior role within Compliance in financial services business
- An agile mindset, able to work in a very dynamic company and sector
- Ability to learn quickly about a complex set of businesses and technologies and assess based on prior experience in this field
- Capability of working independently, taking on high-level tasks and expanding into detailed projects or policies
- Proficient knowledge of UK, EU, US sanctions related regulatory requirements
- Advanced communication skills, ability to present complex solutions and persuade senior management to implement them
- Analytical mindset, ability to create analysis to support ideas and assess the impact on revenues, fraud, etc.
