Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a proactive Senior Operational Accountant based in Jacksonville, Florida to join our high growth company.  This role offers a flexible hybrid work environment where you will have a blend of office days and remote working days during the week determined by your leader.  The Senior Operational Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions and support in the areas of general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking. The ideal candidate combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts in a publicly traded company.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Performs day-to-day reconciliation of cash accounts
  • Applies accounting principles to analyze financial information
  • Ensures compliance with company policies
  • Ensures accurate recording and analysis of cash transactions including working with business process owners within the Company
  • Prepares accurate and timely financial reconciliations
  • Addresses and resolves Paysafe internal and external queries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinates internal audit process with Auditors
  • Develops solutions to resolve accounting discrepancies and other financial problems/issues
  • Continuously improves business processes, systems, and enhance documentation and controls as part of our SOX compliance efforts
  • Supports Paysafe business initiatives as needed
  • Performs other ad hoc reporting and responsibilities as assigned

 
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least two years of related experience within a public company is required; familiarity with facilities and/or government contracts a plus
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles / Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to relate and clearly communicate with operating management, financial staff, and other departments, including professional writing style
  • Ability to analyze problems and recommendations with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to initiate projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel (including pivot tables and managing large data sets), Oracle and Blackline
