Role Overview
Product Lead responsible for defining and executing the Skrill Digital Wallet strategy in LATAM, with a primary focus on Brazil as a growth market.
This role owns end-to-end product strategy, market expansion, and execution, driving Skrill’s positioning as a leading wallet for payments, iGaming, and next-generation financial services in the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. LATAM Strategy Ownership (Brazil First)
- Own and drive the Skrill Wallet strategy across LATAM, prioritizing Brazil as the core growth market
- Define localized product vision aligned to market dynamics (PIX, local rails), regulation, and competitive landscape
- Identify and execute opportunities across iGaming, merchants, and alternative financial use cases
- Build business cases and investment priorities to accelerate market share and revenue growth in Brazil
2. Product Execution & Delivery Leadership
- Lead end-to-end product execution for LATAM initiatives—from discovery through to launch and scale
- Own product backlog and roadmap for Brazil-specific capabilities (e.g., PIX, local onboarding, funding methods, payouts)
- Drive Agile delivery across multiple engineering teams, ensuring speed, quality, and scalability
- Resolve complex dependencies across systems, partners, and regulatory requirements
3. Market Expansion & Commercial Enablement
- Partner with Commercial, Sales, and Partnerships teams to unlock growth opportunities in Brazil and broader LATAM
- Support strategic merchant deals with strong product positioning and roadmap alignment
- Enable local go-to-market strategies, ensuring product-market fit for different customer segments
4. Customer & Market Insight (Deep Brazil Expertise)
- Act as the voice of the Brazilian and LATAM customer, leveraging insights to shape product direction
- Lead competitive analysis across local wallets, PSPs, and emerging fintech/Web3 players
- Translate customer needs into differentiated, localized product experiences
5. Performance Ownership & Growth Optimization
- Own key KPIs across LATAM, including:
- Active users & wallet adoption
- Transaction volumes (deposit/withdrawal, PIX flows)
- Revenue & margin growth
- Continuously optimize the product experience to remove friction and improve conversion
- Conduct post-launch reviews to drive iterative improvements and ROI validation
6. Regulatory, Compliance & Risk Alignment
- Ensure all Brazil and LATAM product capabilities are fully compliant with local regulations and scheme requirements
- Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams, particularly around Brazil’s evolving regulatory landscape
- Proactively navigate licensing, KYC, and operational considerations unique to the region.
7. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the central product leader across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Commercial teams
- Align senior stakeholders on strategy, trade-offs, and execution priorities
- Drive clear ownership and accountability across multiple teams and markets
8. Leadership & Capability Building
- Provide mentorship to Product Managers and cross-functional partners
- Contribute to building best-in-class product practices for international market expansion
- Elevate the role of Product as a driver of commercial growth and innovation
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Finance, or Business
Experience & Expertise
- Strong experience in product management within payments, fintech, or digital wallets
- Understanding of cross-border payments, FX flows, remittances, and multi-currency wallet ecosystems
- Proven track record of launching and scaling products in emerging markets (LATAM experience strongly preferred)
- Deep understanding of Brazilian payments ecosystem (e.g., PIX, local APMs, regulatory environment)
- Experience operating in highly regulated environments
Skills
- Strategic thinking with strong execution capability
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Data-driven decision-making (SQL or equivalent analytical tools preferred)
- Strong Agile product delivery experience
- Solid understanding of payments ecosystems, digital wallets, and transaction flows across regulated financial environments
Additional
- Fluent English; Portuguese or Spanish is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of Brazilian payment systems and infrastructure (e.g., SPB, STR, PIX, local payment rails) is highly desirable
