Position Overview:
The PCS Business Development Representative is responsible to strategically expand merchant, referral, and association relationships to achieve sales, profitability, and partner recruitment objectives. These partnerships will identify new merchant account opportunities to win merchants. They will contact new and existing prospects to generate new sales leads and build new relationships. The Business Development Representative represents the entire range of company products and services to their merchants, associations, and referral partners with focus on the petroleum industry.   The Business Development Representative reports to the Senior Manager of Sales for PCS.
 
Your responsibilities would include:

  • Engage in new business generation activities to acquire new customers and expand the Company’s existing client base and revenue sources within North America.
  • Knowledge in either, merchant service, the petroleum industry, the auto industry, or other relevant verticals.
  • Consistently identify new sources of business via phone, association memberships, referral partner relationships, and tradeshows.
  • Meets assigned targets for new net revenue as well as new approved application signings.
  • Prospect and sell PCS/Paysafe solutions into the Petroleum/C-store Industry, Auto industry and other relevant verticals.
  • Negotiates pricing strategies with both referral partners, associations, and merchants. 
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the Company’s payment solutions, technologies, and services.
  • Maintains a close relationship with existing active and inactive partners.
  • Update the CRM system to track leads and identify various business opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain a sales pipeline as well as organize projected contract closing dates accordingly.
  • Creates and maintains their own SalesForce lead database in a timely manner with reporting capabilities.
  • Remains available for merchant and partner inquiries to win new deals and service existing.
  • Creative problem solver with ability to understand and resolve prospective client challenges/ objections.
  • Complete on-boarding process with new customers.
  • Complete rate analysis and review rates as needed with new and existing merchants.
  • Provide weekly updates to sales manager to report large wins, top leads, and overall sales pipeline activity.
  • Represent PCS at top industry and vertical events, business meetings, and tradeshows.
  • Continuously stay abreast of new technologies and services to maintain a competitive advantage in the industry.
  • Re-develops inactive referral partnerships for means for getting new business.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in various petroleum associations as well as partnerships. 
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner company on-boarding objectives and partners’ expectations.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Drives adoption of company programs among new strategic partners.
  • Assists with marketing and advertising promotions and provides growth ideas as needed.
  • Assist the PCS direct sales team as needed with various administrative and support tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 
Qualifications to have:

  • Team player who is assertive, goal minded, positive, personable, presentable, and highly motivated.
  • You demonstrate excellent enthusiasm and have a strong work ethic necessary to succeed in a dynamic, fast-moving and results oriented environment.
  • You are a responsible team player with excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills and you are comfortable presenting in front of small to large audiences.
  • You have a proven track record in generating new business, cold calling and in exceeding your sales targets.
  • Ability to prove consistently hitting or overachieving sales targets/quotas.
  • Experience in payments, banking and/or petroleum is preferred.
  • Refined and proven sales methodology.
  • You have the patience and the ability to tactfully handle customer inquiries and negotiations.
  • You have spent a significant part of your career in a new business sales role and you understand the constant demands and changes associated with this type of position.  
  • You must be available for occasional travel to meet and network with clients in person, to represent the Company at various industry events and shows and to regroup for sales meetings at the North American head office in Minden, NV
