Senior Strategy Manager

 

About the role

 

Working in the Strategy, Insights and Research team, this role puts your output at the heart of decision making at Paysafe. This role is to provide well thought through analysis to inform and support the executive and other key decision makers on key strategic decisions. You will develop and produce regular and ad hoc analysis within the Strategy team. This will be in a variety of areas and require a multi-disciplinary skillset, including strategic analysis, financial analysis, and business analysis – where you will work closely with stakeholders across analytics, research, finance, sales, marketing, product and operations. A key skill will be able to balance multiple competing priorities and drive teams to deliver the changes required. You will report to the VP of Strategy,Insights and Research. 

Activities will range between:

  • Performing granular strategic analysis for markets or customers to identify key levers to unlock growth
  • Synthesizing and visualising data analysis to provide a clear and compelling story from the analysis
  • Providing market sizing and market growth estimates
  • Undertaking competitor analysis
  • Supporting go to market analysis with the business units
  • Undertaking customer research
  • Communicating analysis to leadership team and beyond
  • Various ad-hoc pieces of analysis supporting investor decks and insights for leadership team

 

Through all of these activities, the candidate will need to be able to articulate key messages and a story through the analysis - providing innovative and clear visualisation and customising the approach depending on the audience and tie this back to overall business goals. This will be assessed through the interview process.

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a top university with an upper second or first
  • Background in top management consultancy firm with  5+ years experience, or very successful track record in a business environment, preferably consulting, in house strategy function, private equity or a venture capital backed business
  • Experience in financial services required, preferably payments experience
    • Mixture of B2B and B2C business experience desirable
  • Very strong ability to visualise data and tell a story with the numbers, assess strategic initiatives and performance – this will be integral to the role
  • Deep experience in supporting strategic intiatives including: market sizing, research, competitor analysis, due diligence exercises and value proposition development.
  • Interpret and communicate insights from analyses to guide decision-making in relation to corporate strategy and growth
  • An ability to tie research and data insights to commercial and customer outcomes
  • Highly numerate
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Experience managing junior colleagues
  • Strong delivery and execution focus
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability, creative conceptual thinking, and keen business judgment
  • An ability to provide structure when working on higher level topics or where there is ambiguity and nuance
  • Experience in gathering and analysing financial data
  • Comfortable communicating strategic updates and performance for leadership team without oversight
  • You will have a business analysis and project management toolkit
  • A 'can-do', flexible and proactive approach to identifying the root cause of complex issues and resolving difficult problems
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships throughout the organisation and work cross-functionally across products and markets
  • Ability to pick up concepts quickly
  • Advanced excel and powerpoint skills,
