The Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Manager is a critical leader within the Cyber Defence Center, tasked with delivering high-caliber cyber threat intelligence that supports a wide range of security and non-security stakeholders. This role demands strategic foresight, technical proficiency, and exceptional leadership to enhance the organization’s threat intelligence capabilities and ensure a robust defense against evolving cyber threats.

How we work:

Our preferred arrangement is for the job holder to follow a hybrid model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office is located in Gresham Street next to St Paul’s cathedral with easy access and transport links via St Paul’s, Bank, Cannon Street, City Thameslink, Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Mansion House.

 

The impact you will have:

  • Lead the collection and aggregation of threat intelligence from diverse and advanced sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), commercial feeds, and dark web monitoring.
  • Conduct sophisticated analysis and identification of threat actors, their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to provide actionable intelligence and foresight. Cross-check gathered information with internal data for accuracy and relevance.
  • Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for the threat intelligence team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and continuous performance improvement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive threat intelligence strategies that are intricately aligned with the organization's risk management framework and overarching security objectives, driving proactive defense initiatives.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with vendors and key intelligence entities, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality threat intelligence and effective collaboration.
  • Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the company's Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP), ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed weekly, monthly, and bi-annual threat intelligence reports, offering actionable insights to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with the Security Operations Center (SOC) during incident response activities, providing real-time intelligence and contextual analysis to support effective and swift incident resolution.
  • Assist the threat hunting team by providing critical intelligence that guides proactive threat detection and mitigation efforts, enhancing overall security posture.
  • Work closely with the vuln mgmt team to keep the team informed and aware of the latest threats to Paysafe and aid in assessment of impact to Paysafe.
  • Assist with the validation of triaging of vulnerabilities as part of vulnerability intelligence.
  • Support security testing and red teaming efforts by assisting the execution of threat led penetration testing at Paysafe

 

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 5 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence, incident response, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop a team of intelligence analysts.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, advanced threat landscapes, and sophisticated attack methodologies.
  • GIAC’s Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), CCTIM – CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager or equivalent preferred would be considered as advantage.
  • Understanding of the Mitre ATT&CK framework and application in an enterprise environment. A desirable candidate will have experience mapping threat reports to the Mitre ATT&CK framework.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex threat intelligence feeds, conducting thorough vulnerability assessments, and synthesizing data into actionable intelligence.
  • Experience in the use and development of a Threat Intelligence Platform.
  • Experience using SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response, and associated query languages.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize security risks and delegate remediation tasks, ensuring timely and efficient risk mitigation.
