The Manager of Intelligent Automation Engineering Leads the development of Automation solutions at Paysafe, leveraging AI and RPA technology.  They are both a leader of the team, accountable for the quality, outcome and speed of solutions, as well as being a hands-on engineer and architect.   They have a true passion for the transformative benefits that AI and automation can provide and, as such, have an in-depth understanding of the technology and the business outcome transformations it can drive.

How we work:

We follow a hybrid working model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office is located in Gresham Street next to St Paul’s cathedral with easy access and transport links via St Paul’s, Bank, Cannon Street, City Thameslink, Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Mansion House.

 

Core responsibilities:

  • Identify and deliver impactful automation opportunities delivering clear business value.
  • Manage a team of Intelligent Automation Engineers, both permanent staff, with career development, and 3rd party consultants
  • Be an integral part of the Intelligent Automation Leadership Team, enabling transformative value for Paysafe.
  • Own engineering delivery with an emphasis on velocity.

 

Accountabilities:

  • All AI and RPA solutions, their realised benefit and quality.
  • Rapid delivery, including prototyping and iterative solutions
  • Appling AI with attention to risks, including monitoring and benchmarking accuracy, latency, cost, and suitability for production.
  • Delivering compliant solutions in line with Regulatory, Compliance, Infosec and Privacy standards that integrate into existing enterprise systems and workflows.
  • Best practices and development methodologies, including reusable components, standardization and ‘Fit for purpose’ documentation.
  • Cross-functional collaboration on requirements and technical solutions
  • Team and career development of Intelligent Automation Engineers

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Five+ years' experience in software development, with high proficiency in Python programming
  • Strong experience managing engineering delivery across multiple workstreams (RPA + AI, multiple stakeholders, competing priorities)
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 1st or 2:1 in a STEM subject (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or similar) from a leading university.
  • Significant experience with LLMs and modern AI tooling with proven application of AI to real-world business problems.
  • Excellent knowledge with version control systems such as GitLab or GitHub. Ability to resolve conflicts and work with CI/CD pipelines.

 

Desirable:

  • Understanding of working in Financial Services and/ or regulated enterprise environments.
  • Low code automation concepts knowledge
  • Experience in standardisation (frameworks, patterns, reusable libraries and delivery playbooks)
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe).
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates for automated deployments is advantageous.
  • Experience in cloud + enterprise integration (security, data flows, APIs, identity) with hands-on experience with services on Azure and AWS, including serverless architectures (Azure Functions, AWS Lambda), storage solutions, and networking configurations.
