Our offices are currently based in Canary Wharf but as of May 2023 we will be relocating St Pauls, City of London – Closest Tube stations Bank / St Pauls

 

The IT Category Manager will directly report to the Global Head of Procurement and will be an integral part of the Group Procurement team. You will accountable for the local delivery and execution of procurement and sourcing activity the Risk and Compliance cross categories. You will be responsible for but not limited to category strategy definition, execution and delivery of major sourcing initiatives, lead negotiations on procurements and act as the relationship owner of key Risk and Compliance suppliers globally.

Working with the Group Procurement team and business stakeholders to prioritise and plan activity to best deliver long term sustainable benefits by executing all the key stages of the strategic sourcing process while supporting any operational and day to day management needs. 

This role involves interacting and working closely with other members of the procurement leadership while also working very closely with a number of senior stakeholders in a variety of business/service function across the Group to significantly contribute to measurable cost efficiencies of the Risk and Compliance category. This category represents around $20m per annum of 3rd party spend.

 

What you will do as IT Category Manager (Data Services, Risk and Compliance)

 

  • Define the Data Services, Risk and Compliance category strategy that aligns with the business agenda in close collaboration with the SVP Data Strategy and Risk Systems, Global Head of Procurement and key business stakeholders.

    •Own and manage senior stakeholder relationships across various divisions; pro-actively engaging them to define and document business requirements including spend and specifications to build.

    •Plan and execute the designed procurement strategies and sourcing initiatives to deliver measurable and sustainable cost savings. Manage and execute all relevant steps of strategic sourcing process and produce all relevant and required documentation.

    •Delivery of on-going and significant savings throughout the contract and relationship life cycle, underpinned by leadership of incremental cost, service and overall value derivation. Working closely with key suppliers to drive long term value improvements.

    •Manage the timely delivery of the procurement and sourcing initiatives and report accordingly.

    •Support organisation-wide procedures for governance, risk and control that manage, mitigate and minimise risks to Paysafe Group. This will include assuming continuing accountability for decisions through these processes and ensuring on-going monitoring and review of performance.

    •Research and keep abreast with new trends and industry information relevant to business needs.

    •Support the establishment of a new way of working demonstrating the value of Procurement, setting standards, reinforcing the enabling culture and approach and embedding the implementation of category management across the organisation.

 

What we are looking for

 

  • Extensive experience (7+ years) of strategic sourcing, with at least 5 years sourcing:
    • Data Services
    • Risk & Compliance tools
    • PaaS & SaaS
    • Software
    • IT Services / Consultancy
  • Experience in a Finance / Regulated industry
  • Experience in BPO Contract Management
  • Experience of effective collaboration and abilty to influence senior stakeholders and strategically important suppliers, especially GDPR & Data Privacy teams
  • Experience of driving innovation with a Data Services partner
  • Understanding of software licensing models and procurement approaches
  • Experience of supplier relationship management
  • Willingness to challenge current practice: seek alternative options and challenge convention
  • Ability to independently plan and execute procurement strategies (in line with business needs)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written: articulate, concise and accurate
  • Analytically strong: comfortable manipulating large volumes of data
  • Self-starter – motivated and disciplined. Can manage their own time well
