Paysafe are hiring a Fraud & AML Director to join our compliance team. This is a full time position and will based in our London office.

How we work:

 

Our preferred arrangement is for the job holder to follow a hybrid model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office is located in Gresham Street next to St Paul’s cathedral with easy access and transport links via St Paul’s, Bank, Cannon Street, City Thameslink, Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Mansion House.

 

The impact you will have:

  • Lead a Risk & Compliance Advisory process on business products and services across Payment Processing, Consumer e-money product and others and identify and assess the risk exposure against the applicable Financial Crime controls framework
  • Be a central point of expertise for the Product function with regards to early phase design and establishment of payment flows in line with Risk and Compliance controls
  • Lead a team of Business Agents, support them with expertise and motivate them to connect to the Business and Product stakeholders to deliver high value products
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Product, Business and others, address risk assessment related issues, propose process improvements and drive execution
  • Analyze a wide range of company data and internal documents
  • Identify risk minimizing measures and assess their design and operating effectiveness and appropriateness
  • Conduct GAP analyses and lay down results and findings to senior members of Risk and Compliance
  • Track the implementation of the actions/requirements and monitor completion
  • Raise the need of elaborating Financial Crime Assessments to the relevant team when the product or service requires such
  • Support the preparation of Financial Crime Risk Assessments via collecting relevant information from Product and other stakeholders
  • Raise identified major risks to Risk and Compliance senior management and propose mitigants
  • Conduct research on industry leading practices for managing payment flows and emoney products in a compliant manner
  • Have a good understanding of the crypto industry and main regulatory requirements for EEA and UK
  • Prepare documentation for the relevant regulators, audit inspections and internal committees

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law/Business Administration or equivalent
  • Experience in creating Financial Crime Risk Assessments and Fraud/AML/CTF topics
  • Minimum 5Y of experience in an emoney or crypto company on a senior Risk or Compliance role with an excellent understanding of a first and second line Risk and Compliance functions
  • Technical knowledge around risk systems, KYC, Pep & Sanctions and other services is a strong advantage
  • Excellent skills in written reporting and data analysis
  • Fluency in English
  • Spanish language is a plus
