Paysafe is currently seeking an experience Financial Crime Investigations Expert that specialises in detecting and preventing illegal financial activities like money laundering, fraud  and corruption. Their duty is to analyse complex financial data and transaction patterns in regard to our Ecash/Digital Wallets solution and identify suspicious activity, conduct thorough investigations and compile detailed reports.

How we work:

 

We follow a hybrid working model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office is located in Gresham Street next to St Paul’s cathedral with easy access and transport links via St Paul’s, Bank, Cannon Street, City Thameslink, Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Mansion House.

 

The impact you will have:

 

  • Conducting investigations into fraud and money laundering activities on the Ecash/ Digital Wallets distribution side, analysing suspicious transactions and customer behaviour
  • Analysing transaction patterns to identify risks and organised crime indicators with big data focus
  • Ensuring FC KPIS are kept within risk appetite and managing daily reviews on financial activities
  • Maintaining relationships with partners/external banks/merchants
  • Collaborating with key internal stakeholders such as, account management, the risk system team, data scientists, analytics and compliance.
  • Ensuring timely reporting of suspicious activities is in line with regulators like the FCA, CBI and Italian FIU.
  • Supporting automation and process improvements in financial crime detection
  • Monitoring emerging fraud trends and regulatory developments
  • Being exposed to the different types of business channels (banking divisions, card schemes and other local payment methods) and overcoming the complexities of products, geography etc. in order to bring everything together

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in financial crime / complex investigations in an eCommerce, Payments, Banking or Gaming landscape
  • Proficiency in SQL and MS Office
  • Knowledge of visualisation tools (Tableau) and real time risk systems (Feedzai/ Threat Metrixs)
  • BA degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Effective communicator and problem solver
  • Familiarity with risk systems and fraud detection tools is beneficial
  • Full English proficiency; additional languages (Spanish, German) are an advantage
