What you will do:

• Designing and deploying dynamically scalable, self-healing applications and infrastructure on AWS and hybrid cloud environments;
• Define infrastructure using IaaS automation tools (Terraform, Helm, CloudFormation, CDK, Ansible);
• Administer and develop a containerization platform to manage application configurations and deployments using AWS EKS and AWS ECS;
• Build and maintain development environments, deployment scripts and end-to-end pipelines to cover both application and infrastructure lifecycles;
• Suggest architecture and process improvements, based on company needs and technical roadmap;
• Participate in rotational on-call to support our platforms and infrastructure.

To be successful you need to have:

• 2+ years of experience in a Cloud Engineer/DevOps role, preferably with AWS background using a broad range of products (EC2, RDS, ELB, EKS, ECS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, TGW);
• Solid experience with container orchestration systems – Kubernetes or a managed Kubernetes service (EKS, ECS or similar);
• Experience with build and deployment automation tooling and infrastructure automation tools to manage software configuration of many hosts and services across different environments and locations;
• Strong scripting/automation skills
• Experience administrating and using version control systems;
• Strong knowledge in Linux;
• Working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls);
• Fluent in English.

Considered an advantage:

• Experience managing cloud based microservice environments;
• Experience with hybrid setups that share workloads between public cloud and on-premises resources;
• Object-oriented programming skills, background in at least one programming language;
• Previous experience in a role within operations, R&D or development experience;
• Proven track record as coach and mentor to junior engineers;
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.
