You will: 

 

  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements clarification, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support 
  • Provide technical leadership within the team, ensuring clear direction on implementation, architecture, and resolution of technical challenges 
  • Guide and mentor engineers, promoting best practices in coding, system design, and Agile delivery 
  • Work closely with architects and cross-functional teams to align on requirements, technical approach, and dependency management 
  • Support execution of the technical roadmap, ensuring solutions are delivered with quality, scalability, and reliability 
  • Take ownership of critical services that support high-volume financial transactions across Paysafe platforms 
  • Contribute to technical decision-making, providing input within established architectural standards and guidelines 
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high-quality engineering practices 
  • Share knowledge through internal sessions, documentation, and ongoing mentoring 
  • Participate in and lead code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency across the team 
  • Partner with engineering managers and architects to ensure alignment on technical direction and priorities 

 

Team 

You will be part of the Paysafe Latam Solutions agile team, one of ~50 engineering teams at Paysafe. The team owns its services end-to-end and collaborates closely with other teams to deliver shared platform capabilities across the organization. You will contribute to PagoEfectivo, one of our core Paysafe products. 

 

Your Role 

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a key role in driving technical direction and ensuring high-quality delivery within the team. 

 

You are expected to: 

  • Contribute across the full software lifecycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and operations) 
  • Guide technical design decisions and ensure alignment with architecture standards 
  • Mentor engineers and support their technical growth through coaching, code reviews, and knowledge sharing 
  • Identify and help remove technical blockers impacting delivery 
  • Collaborate with architects and other teams to refine requirements and ensure successful implementation 
  • Take ownership of critical services, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability 
  • Promote engineering best practices, including clean code, testing, and secure development 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes and engineering standards 

 

Your Profile 

  • Strong experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems 
  • Proven ability to lead technical direction and influence decisions without formal people management 
  • 7+ years of experience with C# and/or Node.js 
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, AWS (ECS, Lambda), and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or similar) 
  • Solid understanding of application security fundamentals 
  • Experience working in Agile teams and SDLC processes 
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in production environments 
  • Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken) for collaboration with global teams 
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and skill development 

 

 

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with AI/automation tooling 
  • Knowledge of React.js, Python, or Go 

 

Education & Experience 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (preferred) 
  • Strong understanding of OOP, clean code, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns 
  • Experience with performance, security, and functional testing tools 
  • Experience supporting production systems and handling operational responsibilities 
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities
