The Senior Director, Product (Acquiring Solutions) plays a pivotal leadership role within Paysafe’s Product organization. You will define and execute the global acquiring strategy with a strong focus on North America, EU/UK, and Latin America. This role requires deep expertise in card acquiring and processing, including scheme rules, pricing, risk management, and technical integrations. You will lead initiatives that align with Paysafe’s vision of delivering a unified commerce platform with global reach and local expertise.

 

As a Senior Director, you will combine strategic thinking with operational excellence to identify growth opportunities, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver innovative solutions. You will serve as a trusted advisor internally and externally, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and merchants to advance Paysafe’s leadership in the experiential economy.

 

Role Remit

 

  • Define and execute the global card acquiring roadmap for North America, EU/UK, and LatAm markets, ensuring alignment with Paysafe’s unified commerce vision.
  • Oversee integrations with leading processors and acquirers (e.g., Fiserv, TSYS, Worldpay) and ensure operational excellence.
  • Develop fact-based business cases and strategic proposals to drive revenue uplift and margin optimization across acquiring products.
  • Lead risk mitigation strategies, chargeback management, and adherence to PCI and regional regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Commercial teams to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative acquiring solutions.
  • Drive modernization initiatives to enhance acquiring capabilities and streamline processes across multiple geographies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with card schemes, processors, merchants, and internal leadership to ensure mutual success.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Influence key stakeholders, including executive leadership, partners, and regulatory bodies, to drive alignment on strategic initiatives.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field, required; or additional experience in lieu of education, required.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, required. Experience within card acquiring, payments, or related financial services, preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience leading Product personnel.
  • Deep expertise in the payments industry, including card acquiring lifecycle, scheme rules, pricing models, alternative payment methods (APMs), cross-border transactions and risk considerations across diverse verticals. 
  • Hands-on experience with processor integrations (Fiserv, TSYS, Worldpay, Global Payments).
  • Strong knowledge of real-time transaction processing, clearing, and settlement.
  • Demonstrated success in defining and executing global product strategies and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience launching acquiring solutions in North America, EU/UK, and LatAm markets.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks and compliance standards, including PCI-DSS, PSD2, GDPR, and AML/KYC requirements.
  • Proven ability to integrate advanced payment solutions into enterprise commerce platforms, enhancing security, scalability, and user experience.
  • Direct Acquiring Expertise: Ability to manage acquiring relationships and optimize approval rates through dynamic routing and interchange strategies.
  • Card Payout Solutions: Experience with Visa Direct, Mastercard Send, and other push-to-card payout programs.
  • Strong technical fluency in APIs, webhooks, and settlement architecture.
  • Familiarity with fraud prevention tools, tokenization, and dispute management workflows.
  • Knowledge of local payment methods and regulatory frameworks in North America, EU/UK, and LatAm.
  • Experience with data-driven optimization for authorization rates and cost efficiency.
