We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary VP of Product Delivery to lead and oversee our project management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and influencing Senior Leadership, driving the successful delivery of our strategic global merchant and consumer product roadmap, and ensuring that our payment solutions meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. As the Head of Product Delivery, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our products and ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals. This role is accountable for the successful delivery and reporting of strategic merchant and consumer products across our global business. This role will also lead a team consisting of a Senior Director, a Senior Manager, Senior and Enterprise Delivery and Program Managers across our global business focused on Merchant and Consumer product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management:
- Strong ability to lead teams that provide value add project management to the businesses they support fostering a positive team environment and provide direction in ambiguous situations.
- Understand how individual projects affect the program/portfolio and exercise judgement in raising issues and risks to the program/portfolio level.
- Have a high degree of competency with project management including, Agile methodology, identifying and managing risks, tracking dependencies and milestones, and communicating overall project status.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the product delivery team.
- Use negotiation skills, influence, and creativity to achieve successful outcomes around scope, schedule, costs/budget, issues/risks, and resources.
- Arbitrate and resolve conflict within the program when necessary. Understand appropriate paths and methods for escalation.
- Build strong working relationships with team members, vendors/contractors, business, and IT partners to aide in effective definition and execution of project
- Develop and implement best practices for product delivery, ensuring consistency and efficiency across teams.
- Building and mentor a high-performing product Delivery team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence
- Product Delivery Strategy:
- Define and execute the product delivery strategy in alignment with the company's vision and objectives.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of product initiatives, ensuring timely and successful launches.
- Oversee the end to end product delivery process, including business case creation, dependency management, release management, commercialization and product performance reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, legal, compliance, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Drive innovation within the product delivery team, encouraging creative problem-solving and out-of-the-box thinking
- Stakeholder Management:
- Acting as the primary liaison between Product Management and Engineering teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment from ideation through execution to general availability
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, including the executive team and key customers.
- Communicate product delivery progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders effectively.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to drive product success.
- Reporting:
- Accountable for global reporting of Merchant and Consumer product delivery across tech and product
- Establishing and track KPIs for delivery performance, team efficiency
- Monitor and measure product delivery performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with product delivery, ensuring proactive problem-solving.
- Contribute to the growth and scalability of the product delivery function as the company expands.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or comparable academic training in business, program/change management, organizational optimization, or closely related discipline desired.
- 10+ years of experience in product delivery, transformation or project management, with a proven track record of managing senior-level professionals and successful delivery.
- Must have additional expertise in one or more key practice areas such as strategic/business planning and performance measurement, process management or organizational effectiveness/development.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Exceptional expectation management, communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
- A deep understanding of agile development methodologies and product lifecycle management
- Solid understanding of the payments industry and related technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to drive product delivery excellence in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
