We are seeking a Chargebacks Product Manager to lead and enhance our chargeback and dispute management solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker who understands the complexities of chargebacks, payments, and risk mitigation. You will collaborate cross-functionally to drive product innovation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience in managing disputes and fraud-related claims.  This role is based in our Jacksonville, Florida office and offers a hybrid working environment of 3 in office days during the work week and 2 remote working days during the work week.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for chargeback and dispute management solutions.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in chargeback and fraud prevention.
  • Work with stakeholders to align the chargebacks product strategy with company objectives.
  • Partner with engineering, data science, and operations teams to enhance chargeback processes and develop scalable solutions.
  • Design automation and AI-driven solutions to optimize dispute resolution and fraud detection.
  • Collaborate with internal risk, compliance, and legal teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Work closely with merchants, financial institutions, and payment processors to understand pain points and improve dispute resolution processes.
  • Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to continuously refine product features.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as chargeback win rates, operational efficiency, and fraud mitigation effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce chargeback losses and operational costs through data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to assess revenue impacts and cost savings from chargeback initiatives.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies for chargeback-related features.
  • Educate internal teams on chargeback management best practices and product capabilities.
  • Drive alignment across teams to enhance end-to-end chargeback processing.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of product management experience in payments, fraud, risk, or chargeback management
  • Deep knowledge of chargeback rules and regulations (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, NACHA).
  • Experience working with payment processors, acquirers, and networks on dispute resolution.
  • Familiarity with chargeback automation tools, AI-driven fraud prevention, and dispute analytics.
  • Strong data analytics skills, including SQL or other data tools, to drive product insights.
  • Experience working with Agile development teams and defining product requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in prepaid, card issuing, or acquiring businesses.
  • Knowledge of EMV 3DS, PSD2, and regulatory frameworks impacting chargebacks.
  • Understanding of BIN sponsorship models and chargeback liability shifts.
