Paysafe is looking for a Principal Product Manager to accelerate growth in the US SMB merchant business. This role is in the SMB product pillar and is responsible for integrating and launching new features and solutions into market for the Paysafe Business Experience and Business Wallet within the merchant and partner portals. This position requires a broad spectrum of expertise in both card present and card not present payment processing, point of sale, and payment hardware in the SMB space, as well as a working technical knowledge of merchant onboarding, device management, and credit card settlement.
This individual will partner with the sales, pricing, risk, compliance, marketing, legal, privacy and technology teams to drive the merchant and partner projects to completion. The ideal candidate for this position will lead and influence other groups within Paysafe to build a world class merchant experience for SMB merchants.
We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager based in Jacksonville, FL. This role offers a hybrid approach to flexible working, where you will have a blend of in office days and remote working days during the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product and Engineering, driving acceptance testing and production readiness:
- Business Wallet
- Merchant Portal
- Merchant Marketplace
- Mobile Apps
- Conduct “golden runs” of software and hardware deployment with ownership of production signoff
- Ensure proper merchant boarding
- Ensure proper processing configuration at gateways and processors
- Ensure proper device deployment
- Validate merchant golden run: device unboxing, POS activation, payment processing, and settlement
- Validate business wallet golden run: wallet creation, settlement to wallet, transfer for bank account, all money movement features
- Own the hardware device strategy and estate
- Manage certified device payment apps and firmware
- Manage end of sale, end of life, and end of support for supported devices
- Manage new device strategy and implementation
- Evaluate new hardware and estate management from potential hardware partners
- Merchant Point of Sale Subject Matter Export
- Become definitive authority on the features and functionality of supported POS solutions
- Recommend commercialization of add-on products, modules, and features of supported POS partners
- Evaluate new POS solutions from partners as potential products to resell
- Conduct product commercialization training for sales, operations, marketing and other stakeholders
- New products launched at Paysafe
- Add-on features, modules, and value-added services of existing products
- New features, modules, and products of supported POS solutions
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, or experience in lieu of degree required; Master’s degree preferred but not mandatory.
- 8+ years of product management experience or similar experience, required.
- 5+ years experience building commercial software products, specifically in the FinTech industry, required.
- 3+ experience years testing and validating accuracy of financial applications, required.
- 3+ years experience of all aspects of managing payment devices, particularly modern Android-based devices, required.
- Strong experience managing commercial software products as well as payment device hardware products.
- Ability to “get things done” while working on multi-team projects.
- Strong English communication, analytical, and organizational skills, and a self-starter mentality.
- Strong presentation and training skills with experience presenting to internal senior leadership teams.
- Experience working in a diverse and multi-location company.
