Summary

The Indirect Sourcing Director is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across all professional services categories, including managed services, consulting, advisory, audit, tax, legal, and specialized services. This role ensures cost optimization, supplier innovation, and favorable business terms that deliver measurable value to the organization.

This hybrid position is based in our Jacksonville, FL office and requires three days per week on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for professional services categories: managed services, consulting, advisory, audit, tax, legal, and specialized services.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts inclusive of favorable business terms such as working capital optimization, performance-based incentives, and risk-sharing mechanisms.
  • Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Manage strategic relationships with professional services firms and providers.
  • Work in concert with Vendor Management and Risk teams to implement supplier performance management.
  • Partner with internal organizations in Finance, Legal, and Compliance to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with Supplier Risk Management
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support governance frameworks.

Measurements

  • Cost Savings: Achieve annual cost reduction targets (e.g., 10-20% hard and soft savings).
  • Working Capital Impact: Improve cash flow through optimized payment terms and discount programs.
  • Supplier Performance: Maintain compliance and quality standards via SLAs and KPIs.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to negotiated terms.
  • Innovation: Introduce supplier strategies (e.g., consolidations, new providers that improve client and stakeholder experience).
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Via net-promoter scores and other tools, receive positive feedback from business community on sourcing expertise, partnership, and responsiveness.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with at least 5 years in professional services category leadership.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, including working capital strategies.
  • Experience managing professional services categories such as consulting, audit, tax, and legal.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent).
  • Professional certifications: CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of use of AI.
