We are looking for a Commercial Pricing Leader who will run our pricing strategy with a primary focus across the US merchant business that align with Paysafe’s financial goals which consider the competitive landscape, market conditions and customer value proposition.  You will develop and deliver on pricing policies, governance and managing the road map across our Merchant team.  This role is based in Jacksonville, Florida where we offer a hybrid work environment and you will have a blend of 3 in office working days and 2 remote working days during the work week.

 

Serving all the territories and products Paysafe operates, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting to develop pricing strategies that align with Paysafe’s financial goals which consider the competitive landscape, market conditions and customer value proposition

  • Conducting market research and analysis to understand customer behavior, industry trends, and competitors' pricing models

  • Recommending pricing models that consider various payment methods, transaction volumes, risk factors, and customer segments

  • Optimizing pricing proposition, execution, and mechanics through the customer lifecycle, from offer, bill and collect

  • Working towards key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and regularly reporting on their performance. Analyzing the impact of pricing decisions on the company's profitability

  • Assessing pricing-related risks and opportunities, e.g., to win new business, grow transaction volume and mitigate against attrition

  • Ensuring adherence to relevant industry regulations and compliance standards

  • Segregating customers into different segments and tailoring pricing strategies to meet the needs of each segment

  • Collaborating with sales, product, and marketing teams

  • Effectively communicating pricing changes to internal stakeholders and customers

  • Leading a team of pricing analysts and professionals

  • Collaborating with finance, operations, product, banking, and schemes teams to understand the cost structures associated with payment processing and factor these into pricing decisions

  • Managing the budget associated with pricing activities and ensuring efficient resource allocation

To be successful you need to have:

  • 6+ years of overall experience required, with 4+ years of pricing experience, preferably as a people manager of a pricing team. Previous experience in card payments or the payments industry is also a plus

  • A bachelor’s degree within business, finance, and/ or logistics or any relevant degree is required as a minimum requirement. Master’s degree preferred, although is not required

  • CIMA/ ACCA Part-Qualified / Full qualification preferable

  • Card Acquiring and Payment Processing knowledge, especially interchange and scheme fees needed

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills

  • Proven experience in leadership roles, such as pricing manager or director of pricing

  • Deep analytical skill and experience creating complex models to forecast the impact of pricing changes

  • Expertise in quantitative and qualitative customer validation techniques, including surveys & customer interviewing to test customer segmentation, value metrics, pricing models, etc.

  • Adaptability skills: The ability to adapt and stay current with industry trends and best practices.

  • Extremely competent in using Microsoft Office suite, Excel (financial analysis and modelling techniques) and PowerPoint in particular

  • Knowledge of VBA, Access, Salesforce, Tableau or SQL is a plus

  • Ability to quickly translate large data sets into insights

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and teams
