The Collections Support Specialist will be responsible for performing collections activities in line with AR aging business objectives and targets, and administrative support for the Collections Team.  They will report directly to the Collections Supervisor and serve as backup for daily collection functions as deemed necessary by management.



  • Process monetary transactions in a timely manner and review for accuracy in all systems
  • Identify and monitor outstanding merchant accounts and AR aging report daily ensuring that aging performance is maintained in line with performance objectives.
  • Responsible for daily correspondences (email, letters, mail, return mail etc.)
  • Contact clients and discuss overdue payments
  • Review and ensure all documentation is maintained and captured in the corresponding systems
  • Field incoming calls from sales agents/merchants as needed
  • Investigate historical data to ensure accuracy with communication to merchants on outstanding invoices and other relevant transactions.
  • Take actions to encourage timely payments
  • Prepare and present reports on collection activities and progress
  • Work with cross-functional peers and merchants to resolve billing and credit issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned



  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required
  • 1+ years in a customer service role or equivalent, required
  • 1+ years in a collections’ environment, preferred
  • Experience in payments or financial services, preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly Excel & Word.

  • Ability to prioritize effectively to satisfy the needs of the customer, both internal and external, as well as management
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
