To help us fuel accelerated growth, we are looking for an experienced Business Performance Analyst.

 

Position Overview:

The Business Performance Analyst will make recommendations and help influence operational decisions through quality analysis, research, and identification of trends.  The Business Performance Analyst will have a strong analytical understanding of our financial (or operational) performance across a range of business/operational activities and will be focused on continuously identifying process improvements and gap areas.   A successful candidate must have the maturity to work independently on a day-to-day basis, show initiative and understand when to collaborate, delegate and/or escalate.  This position will report to the Director of Finance.

 

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Research new techniques, technologies and best practices and provide optimal business solutions to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Review business problems, analyze root causes and recommend improvements to existing business platforms.
  • Responsible for the reporting of performance metrics to improve business operational efficiency and in adherence with compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for developing business presentations, reporting, identifying trends and areas of improvement for management, clients and other business partners as required.
  • Regularly monitor business performance and generate performance reports providing insight to relevant stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional collaboration to ensure complete end to end process and control alignment and compliance.
  • Act as the first point of contact to vendors and banking partners on compliance related matters.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of critical business processes to effectively prioritize and manage the lifecycle of unplanned interruptions (Incident management). Support the business through clear and timely communication with customers, vendors, and other impacted internal/external parties.
  • Identify and escalate any analytical trends or concerns in a timely manner
  • Ad-hoc projects and analytical assignments to support business goals, enhance financial performance and maintain compliance standards.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field, required.
  • 1+ years of business-related or analysis experience required
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operational or support functions and in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent rapport building skills to establish and maintain strong working relationships across functional and reporting levels
  • Able to work in the details whilst maintaining perspective of the bigger picture.
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, as well as within tight deadlines.
  • Confidently and independently undertakes research and collects data to identify trends, best practices.
  • Effective writing and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and develop presentations for multiple levels of the organization

 

Other Skills:

  • Payment Processing experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Visio and PowerPoint preferred
  • Experience in Power BI, SQL, VBA and/or Tableau preferred
