Paysafe is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager, based in Houston, who is highly motivated, flexible and experienced in IT product development and business change projects. The role requires a person comfortable working within a complex stakeholder environment, engaging with different areas of the business ranging from product, technology, infrastructure, operations, finance, sales teams, etc. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all activities assigned to the project team are performed in a timely manner, while maintaining the highest quality of performance. This role is execution focused and will play a key part in driving project delivery in a matrix environment. The successful candidate will be an expert in project management and SDLC methodologies who applies this expertise to daily practice and leads by example.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring cross functional engagement of stakeholders to confirm that all critical project requirements are in place and taken into consideration
  • Conducting analysis to understand business processes required to ensure end-to-end delivery of intended project results
  • Leading project budget estimation, KPIs and benefits identification and tracking, reporting of financial actuals and budget variances
  • Leading the identification of critical dependencies and risks likely to impact cost, time, and quality, early in the project life cycle
  • Mitigating risks and issues as they occur, escalating any issues as appropriate and owning them through to resolution
  • Liaising between Product Management, Development Management, and business stakeholders to foster quality communications
  • Working closely with Development Leads, Subject Matter Experts, Product Managers and key stakeholders to define project scope and requirements in terms of features and capabilities
  • Supporting both agile processes and waterfall methodologies within a matrix organization
  • Creating and maintaining all project documentation and project plans
  • Tracking and reporting project progress to stakeholders with a focus on budget, scope, resources, and schedule transparency
  • Managing the project change control process and ensuring that all required project approvals are in place



  • 5-8 years in information technology project management focused on product development or business change projects with a broad knowledge of emerging technologies
  • 5 years of proven project management leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Self-starter with good time management skills
  • Able to be productive and effective in a virtual environment
  • Strong knowledge in PMO operations and reporting best practices
  • Strong knowledge of Information Technology and software development lifecycle
  • Proficient in project management and productivity tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Acumen, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Extraordinary ability to deliver challenging messages gracefully
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated cross-functional teamwork and collaboration
  • Experienced working in a global business environment
  • Successfully engage in multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical skills to discuss problems, analyze solutions/options, evaluate and enable improved processes and manage change
  • Superior organization and planning skills and excellent communication skills on all levels

Desired skills/qualifications:

  • Experience in the payment and finance industries
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline required. MBA a plus
  • PMP certification is preferred
  • Agile (PMI-ACP/Scrum Master) certification is a plus
  • Experience working with distributed teams across different locations and time zones in a culturally diverse environment
