Position Summary:
We are currently looking for a proactive Senior Accountant based in the Paysafe Houston, TX (The Woodlands) office to join our quickly growing company and create impact in our closing processes.  The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting functions and support in the areas of general accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls, analytical skills and bring high energy with a strong desire to learn. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily, monthly, and annual accounting close requirements for several treasury processes (debt and other financing arrangements, etc.), equipment inventory accounting, intercompany processing for the US businesses, and other assigned areas, to include: preparation of month-end journal entries, completion of account reconciliations and preparation of internal reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual legal entity financial statements for bank compliance reporting
  • Research and explain trends and variances for assigned areas for monthly financial reporting
  • Serve as a key point of contact with the Paysafe Group accounting team
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies for assigned areas to maintain and strengthen internal controls as part of our SOX compliance effort
  • Ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks
  • Supports Senior Manager with month-end and year-end close process and annual audit
  • Generates ad hoc reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
  • 5 + years of proven experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process within a public company required
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience preferred
  • Oracle experienced preferred
  • Hyperion, Smartview preferred
  • Experience preparing legal entity financial statements preferred
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Proactive 
  • Easily adaptable to changing processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in advanced Excel (including pivot tables), Word and Outlook
