Position Description:

Paysafe Finance is seeking an FP&A Financial Analyst (FA) who will support the Sr. Director of FP&A in the management and oversight of Paysafe’s active merchant portfolio acquisitions, or “Residual Buyouts” (RBOs), program, including wrangling and analysis of residuals data, running deal model investment scenarios, interaction with the Sales and Legal teams for partner negotiations, and tracking RBO and post-RBO action items. The FA will also help to clean up very small legacy residuals agents through forced buyouts to improve residuals and reporting efficiency and perform data mining to identify future proactive RBO pursuits in collaboration with our Sales team. Additional support will be expected on a quarterly basis to help Investor Relations with public company reporting, peer comparisons, and queries from executive and financial leadership for earnings calls with investors, from a divisional perspective. This position is located in Jacksonville, Florida.



  • Portfolio Acquisition / Residual Buyouts (RBOs):
    • Liaison with US Acquiring Partner Sales team to ingest requests for potential Residual Buyouts.
    • Complete BI request forms and work with Residuals team to pull needed merchant-level data.
    • Validate and conform merchant-level residuals and related data for analysis.
    • Analyze RBO deal models to result in recommended investment scenarios, including earnout and guarantee options.
    • Prepare presentation materials and review RBO analyses with Sales and Finance team to gain approval to move to offer.
    • Support Sales negotiations with partners (agents and ISOs) to drive to accepted offers.
    • Generate portfolio acquisition agreements, and work with Legal for approval.
    • Provide communications to broader Treasury, Residuals, Accounting, and Finance teams regarding actions after RBO signings.
    • Track performance of RBOs against deal model, and support after-RBO activities.
    • Help to clean up small legacy residuals agents through forced buyouts to improve residuals and reporting efficiency.
    • Identify future proactive RBO pursuits through data mining and collaboration with Sales team.
  • Investor Relations (IR) support: Provide data gathering, analysis, and color commentary to support IR for public company reporting, merchant acquiring peer comparisons, and executive and financial leadership Q&A for quarterly earnings calls with investors.
  • Broader divisional FP&A support (as requested):
    • Monthly/quarterly divisional deliverables, including: Revenue & EBITDA Flash; Monthly Business Review; US Acquiring & IES Monthly Business Reviews; actual vs forecast variance explanations, bridges and commentary; KPI submissions; etc.
    • Annual Budgeting cycle activities, and long-range planning.
    • Templates and reports, including populating & validating financial and KPI data.
  • Learn and develop proficiency in global consolidation financial systems, including:
    • Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
    • Oracle Planning & Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS): Workforce Planning, Opex, and Revenue cubes & tasks
    • Query of and consolidation from Business Intelligence tools
    • High degree of competency in Excel
    • Business Intelligence Systems (SQL based)
  • Validate numbers, maintain sound analytical methodology, and improve presentation standards.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new procedures and processes to enhance the productivity, efficiency, and workflow of the Finance Department, including driving process automation leveraging existing templates, financial databases and BI tools.
  • Serve as a key contributor by analyzing data for the purpose of creating actionable intelligence that influences strategic decision making and company performance.
  • Handle multiple time sensitive projects and ad hoc analyses at once independently.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Science degree in Finance or related field required.
  • Ideally, candidate should have 1-3 years of experience as a financial analyst at a high growth operating company; however, will consider high potential candidates straight out of college.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; ability to pick up new systems and query information.
  • Experience with multi-dimensional databases such as Hyperion / Oracle systems desired but not required.
  • Knowledge or awareness of bottoms up forecasting methodologies for revenue and/or expenses within a business unit.
  • Track record of self-motivation, independent thinking, problem solving, and continuous process improvement.
  • Familiarity working with and analyzing large data sets. Ideally, you are a data guru who enjoys process management and working with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively; deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create new processes and adjust in-flight.
  • Willingness to take initiative, know what needs to be done, and execute with a sense of urgency, discipline and focus.


Preferred skill sets:

  • Excel skills such as using sumifs, vlookups, xlookups, index/match, pivot tables, VBA/macros, power pivot, array formulas, etc., for report automation and fast/accurate analysis. 
  • Data science and/or SQL skills a plus.
  • If applicable, workplace experience with Hyperion / Oracle systems.
  • Financial service industry experience and/or experience working in a payment processing organization a plus.
