The Senior Internal Auditor contributes to the value of the Group Internal Audit function by performing audit engagements on Paysafe-related activities by participating as part of an engagement team or individually under the direction of Internal Audit management.

How we work:

We follow a hybrid working model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office address is 15 George’s Quay, 1st Floor, Dublin, D02 VR98

 

 

 

The impact you will have:

 

  • Conduct and document risk-based and core assurance reviews in accordance with Internal Audit methodology, Paysafe policies, and IIA standards.
  • Perform financial and operational data analysis to support risk assessments, control testing, and identification of anomalies and emerging risks.
  • Assess and document the design and operating effectiveness of key controls through detailed testing and evaluation.
  • Prepare and maintain high-quality audit working papers, ensuring all audit evidence and documentation are accurately recorded in AuditBoard.
  • Produce clear and concise audit reports communicating observations, risks, recommendations, and agreed management actions.
  • Present audit progress, findings, and status updates to Internal Audit management and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and follow up on management action plans to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations and escalate risks or delays as appropriate.
  • Coordinate and oversee audit engagements performed by third-party service providers and collaborate with internal and external assurance partners to ensure effective delivery.
  • Operate within Paysafe’s governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks, maintaining a strong understanding of business processes, risks, and strategic objectives.
  • Uphold the IIA Code of Ethics by maintaining independence, objectivity, confidentiality, and professional scepticism in all audit activities.
  • Build effective stakeholder relationships and apply critical thinking, data analytics, and problem-solving techniques to support audit planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Internal Audit practices while maintaining professional knowledge, adaptability, and commitment to quality and excellence.

 

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • Strong academic record, including bachelor or higher degree equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in internal/external audit, risk, compliance or other assurance discipline
  • Knowledge of the IIA professional audit standards
  • Previous experience of auditing business processes within the financial services or other highly regulated industry
