Position: Regional Chief Information Officer (PCF-49)
Reporting to: EEA Chief Executive Officer & Director
The Regional Chief Information Officer is an important member of the Paysafe IT & Information Security function and the leadership team in Dublin, Ireland, responsible for overseeing and supporting the Technology and Security strategy for Paysafe’s businesses in Ireland serving customers in the European Union and directly contributing towards a resilient and mature payment services environment in the region.
Operating as Chief Information Officer (a pre-approved control function under Section 50 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010) within the Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited and Paysafe Prepaid Services Limited business units, the role is part of the Chief Executive Officer’s management team and requires a close working relationship with senior members from Paysafe Group’s IT, Information Security, and Data Management functions in Europe and the America’s. The role also requires strong collaboration with 2nd and 3rd Line functions of the business to ensure governance best practices are aligned with Paysafe’s business objectives and priorities.
The role will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards across the region relating to IT and Information Security policies, controls and processes. This will often involve working in a fast paced, regularly changing and demanding but exciting environment.

Our preference is for the job holder to follow our hybrid model of 3 days a week on average per week at this office, in the heart of Dublin
The impact you will have:
- Instilling and supporting Technology & Information Security as part of management’s decision-making process in the delivery of products and services to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring the operational resilience of the ICT environment serving regions customers and the Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited and Paysafe Prepaid Services Limited business units.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with Paysafe Group, divisional and local business, Technology and Information Security stakeholders;
- Ensuring the company’s Risk and Controls Framework is robust, satisfies statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations, and is effectively implemented and measurable.
- Defining, delivering and reporting Key Risk Indicators across a range of IT & Information Security practices to assure implementation of established policies.
- Monitor current and proposed regulations and industry standards related to IT and information security to support preparedness and ongoing compliance;
- Support internal and external IT & Information Security audits and engagement with regulatory inspections, driving mitigation and remediation activities, where applicable;
- Maintain up to date (technology, information security and data assets) risk register, drive mitigating actions and support compliance with legal and regulatory compliance;
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks associated with engaging third-party ICT providers;
- Ensure business understanding of key information security, technology and data asset risks and associated risk mitigation strategies;
- Act as a local cyber security champion, prepare & deliver cyber and information security training up to, and including to Board members, including periodic thematic information security training as required;
- Review of all applicable Group information security policies and standards to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements
- Ensure local awareness and compliance with all applicable Group policies relating to information security;
- Act as contact point for incident responses to any Security Incidents detected by the Paysafe Security Operation Centre - compliance, reporting requirements and support remediation;
- Oversee business continuity and resilience plans and work with business continuity teams to ensure the programme is successfully implemented in compliance with local operational and regulatory requirements;
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of relevant IT and Information Security experience.
- Significant experience in working within Financial Services industry, preferably within payment services.
- Well versed with both Operational and Technology Governance, Risk and Assurance Management.
- Comfortable engaging in matters relating to IT operations, Information and Cyber Security, IT and Cyber Incident Management and Response, and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery practices.
- Well versed in both cloud (Azure, AWS) and on-premises environments.
- Expert understanding of information security governance frameworks and methodologies, particularly the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences (including Board and Management Committee presentations).
- Ability to lead and motivate multinational, cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve BAU demands and goals.
- A critical thinker, with strong problem-solving skills to balance strategic and day-to-day operational demands. and detail-oriented
- Strong leadership and team building skills, coupled with excellent organisational and motivational abilities
- High level of personal integrity, as well as the ability to professionally handle confidential matters whilst showing an appropriate level of judgment and maturity

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems (IS), Information Technology or a related area.
- Recognized and active certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC or similar.
