Reporting to the boards of Paysafe Payment Solutions Limited and Paysafe Prepaid Services Limited, the Head of AML/ CTF (PCF- 52) is responsible for:
- Ensuring that suspicious transactions, indicating money laundering or terrorist financing activities are reported to An Garda Siochana, the Revenue Commissioners and Financial Crime institutions in other EEA jurisdictions in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Leading interactions with external agencies.
- Key point of contact and accountable officer to CBI, An Gardai, Financial intelligence Units and Irish Ombudsman (FSPO).

How we work:
We have exciting new offices currently under construction which we are aiming to be ready for use in the new year. In the meantime, all employees are using our temporary SOBO works office space in the heart of Dublin. Our preference is for the job holder to follow our hybrid model of 1 day per week at this office.
Following the opening of the permanent space, this model will change to 3 days a week on average per week.
The impact you will have:
- Lead and oversee the review and revision of the AML/CFT Business Risk Assessments, in accordance with any methodology agreed and approved by the Boards.
- Ensuring that policies, procedures, and controls in place to prevent the facilitation of money laundering and terrorist financing are consistent with the legal and regulatory requirements as set out in Ireland, the wider European Union, and any other relevant international jurisdictions.
- Reviewing and revising the AML and CFT policies that are in place, based on the most current assessment of ML/TF risk and its proper management.
- Application of measures to ensure that policies, controls, and procedures are considered in all relevant functions including the development of new products, dealing with new customers and in changes to business activities.
- Overseeing the logging, investigation, management and filing of suspicious transaction activity reports to the relevant authorities.
- Maintenance of a record of policies, controls and procedures, risk assessment and risk management including the application of systems, controls and procedures, with ultimate responsibility appropriately assigned to the Boards.
- Reporting to the Boards and keeping them informed of relevant ML/TF risks which exist within the business, and providing information on remediation of any breaches, weaknesses or failures discovered.
- Educate and train all employees (including oversight of training of employees within Paysafe Group) regarding money laundering risks and prevention and facilitate enough resources and funds for such training, with key focus on employees in roles relating to due diligence or high-risk customers.
- Responding to law enforcement requests.
- Development and delivery of an ongoing education and training programme for appropriate employees covering their responsibilities under the AML/CTF Programme, and
- Undertaking regular assessments of the money laundering risk and success in mitigating those risks, the results of which will be reported to the Boards.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven track record as Head of AML/CTF- MLRO for a minimum of 10 years; preferably with experience in regulated entities in E-Money Institutions sector
- Experience in fintech / digital payments is necessary
- Previous PCF- 52 approval by CBI in past roles
