At Paysafe, our Regulatory Team enables the company’s success within a complex and evolving global regulatory environment through clear and knowledgeable advice and proactive collaboration across the business.

We are seeking an experienced, driven, and solution-focused regulatory lawyer to lead our newly formed Regulatory Implementation and Advisory team. As part of the Regulatory Team and reporting to the VP Regulatory, you will play a pivotal role in delivering regulatory change projects and providing strategic regulatory advice globally. You will work closely with colleagues from diverse disciplines, ensuring regulatory requirements are implemented efficiently and effectively, and that complex legal concepts are communicated clearly to non-lawyers.

How we work:

 

We follow a hybrid working model, spending an average of three days per week at our office location. The office address is 15 George’s Quay, 1st Floor, Dublin, D02 VR98

 

 

 

The impact you will have:

  • Lead Regulatory Change Delivery: Oversee and innovate regulatory implementation processes, ensuring advice is clear, concise, and actionable. Be proactive in identifying regulatory challenges and responsive in delivering solutions that enable business success.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team. Foster a collaborative environment where team members are empowered, accountable, and encouraged to share knowledge and learn from each other.
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide knowledgeable, forward-thinking regulatory advice to stakeholders, including on new product development and delivery channels. Translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into plain English, enabling informed decision-making across the business.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Take ownership of complex regulatory matters, preparing and coordinating responses to regulatory authorities and participating in supervisory meetings. Ensure Paysafe’s position is communicated clearly and confidently.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Develop and present concise, insightful reports to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability in regulatory implementation.
  • Representation: Represent the Regulatory Team at key internal and external forums, building collaborative relationships and acting as a trusted, knowledgeable advisor.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified lawyer with 7+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in financial services regulation, ideally with payments/e-money industry exposure.
  • Experience gained in a financial institution, regulator, or leading law firm, with a track record of engaging with regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent legal technical and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly learn and apply new information in a complex and evolving environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills: able to explain complex legal concepts in plain English to non-lawyers, always striving for clarity and conciseness.
  • Responsive and proactive: You anticipate challenges, act quickly, and are always looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Collaborative and enabling: You believe the best solutions come from working together, valuing diverse perspectives, and empowering others to succeed.
  • Knowledgeable: You stay ahead of developments in the business and regulatory landscape, sharing insights and expertise with your team and stakeholders.
  • Accountable: You take ownership of your advice, actions, and outcomes, and are committed to delivering results.
  • Positive, solution-focused attitude; motivated by enabling others to succeed.
