Principal Product Manager - Global Videogaming

Overview

The Principal Product Manager for the Video Gaming Ecosystem is a strategic role responsible for defining and executing Paysafe’s product strategy across the global gaming economy. This role owns the end-to-end product vision spanning both the merchant ecosystem (game publishers, platforms, marketplaces, and payment partners) and the consumer experience (players, wallets, alternative payment methods, and digital value flows).

Operating at the intersection of payments, digital commerce, and gaming, this leader will shape how players fund, spend, and move value across gaming platforms while enabling merchants to maximize monetization, acceptance, and global reach.

As a domain expert in the gaming industry, the Principal Product Manager will partner closely with executive leadership to identify strategic opportunities, influence investment decisions, and guide cross-organizational initiatives that drive long-term growth in one of Paysafe’s most strategic verticals.

This role requires exceptional strategic thinking, deep industry expertise, and the ability to align engineering, commercial, and operational teams around large-scale product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Product Leadership

Define and own the long-term product strategy for Paysafe’s gaming ecosystem, covering both merchant payment capabilities and consumer financial experiences.

Develop a clear product vision that enables frictionless global monetization for gaming merchants while delivering seamless funding, spending, and wallet experiences for players.

Identify emerging opportunities in digital gaming economies including in-game payments, virtual goods, marketplace payments, cross-border transactions, and new payment methods.

Shape strategic investments that position Paysafe as a preferred payments partner for leading game publishers, platforms, and gaming marketplaces.

Partner with executive leadership to influence roadmap priorities, platform strategy, and commercial growth initiatives.

Video Gaming Industry Expertise

Serve as the internal domain expert on the gaming ecosystem, including digital distribution platforms, game publishers, esports platforms, player communities, and digital marketplaces.

Translate gaming industry trends into product opportunities, including new monetization models, player wallet experiences, and payment orchestration capabilities.

Build strong relationships with key gaming partners and represent Paysafe as a strategic product voice with major industry stakeholders.

Drive innovation that supports evolving gaming business models such as live-service games, digital economies, creator marketplaces, and global player monetization.

End-to-End Ecosystem Ownership

Lead product initiatives that span the entire value chain from player funding to merchant settlement, ensuring a cohesive and optimized payment experience.

Own complex initiatives that involve multiple product lines including wallets, alternative payment methods, payment processing, fraud and risk capabilities, and platform integrations.

Ensure Paysafe delivers differentiated value for both sides of the ecosystem:

Merchants:
Enable scalable global acceptance, optimized payment performance, and higher conversion rates.

Consumers:
Deliver simple, secure, and trusted ways for players to fund gaming accounts, manage digital value, and transact across gaming environments.

Cross-Functional Alignment and Executive Influence

Act as a senior partner to Engineering, Architecture, Compliance, Risk, Commercial, and Partnership teams to drive alignment on large product initiatives.

Influence strategic decisions across multiple product organizations to ensure a unified approach to gaming ecosystem development.

Present product strategy, progress, and investment opportunities to executive leadership and senior stakeholders.

Navigate organizational complexity to unblock critical initiatives and accelerate delivery of high-impact capabilities.

Complex Program Leadership

Lead large cross-team programs that deliver mission-critical gaming capabilities across multiple product and engineering teams.

Break down complex opportunities into clear strategic initiatives and execution plans.

Anticipate regulatory, operational, technical, and market challenges and proactively design mitigation strategies.

Ensure strong execution across teams while maintaining focus on long-term platform scalability.

Technical & Platform Leadership

Partner closely with engineering and architecture leaders to evolve the payment platform supporting gaming merchants and player experiences.

Drive scalable solutions that support high-volume digital transactions, global expansion, and evolving compliance requirements.

Guide API strategy, partner integrations, and platform capabilities that enable gaming platforms to seamlessly integrate Paysafe products.

Thought Leadership & Organizational Impact

Mentor product managers and help elevate product management practices across the organization.

Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on gaming ecosystem opportunities and market dynamics.

Contribute to the broader product culture by raising standards for strategic thinking, customer insight, and execution excellence.

Qualifications

10+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of leading complex platform or ecosystem products.

Deep experience in video gaming, digital marketplaces, or digital entertainment ecosystems, with a strong understanding of player economies and merchant monetization models.

Strong expertise in payments, fintech, wallets, or digital transaction platforms.

Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives that span multiple teams and organizational boundaries.

Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic alignment across large organizations.

Strong technical fluency with APIs, payment infrastructure, platform architecture, and partner integrations.

Exceptional strategic thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.

Experience mentoring product managers and shaping product organizations.
