Overview

The Principal Product Manager for Crypto & Digital Assets is a strategic role responsible for defining and executing Paysafe’s product strategy across the rapidly evolving digital asset ecosystem. This role owns the end-to-end product vision spanning both the merchant ecosystem (exchanges, fintech platforms, marketplaces, and payment partners) and the consumer experience (wallets, on-ramps, off-ramps, and digital asset transactions).

Operating at the intersection of payments, blockchain technology, and financial infrastructure, this leader will shape how consumers fund, store, and move digital assets while enabling merchants and platforms to seamlessly integrate crypto payment capabilities into their businesses.

As a domain expert in crypto and digital assets, the Principal Product Manager will partner closely with executive leadership to identify strategic opportunities, influence investment decisions, and guide cross-organizational initiatives that drive long-term growth in this emerging financial ecosystem.

This role requires exceptional strategic thinking, deep technical and industry expertise, and the ability to align engineering, commercial, and operational teams around large-scale product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Product Leadership

Define and own the long-term product strategy for Paysafe’s crypto and digital asset ecosystem, covering both merchant payment capabilities and consumer financial experiences.

Develop a clear product vision that enables seamless crypto on-ramps, off-ramps, and payment experiences while supporting secure and compliant digital asset transactions.

Identify emerging opportunities across the crypto ecosystem including stablecoin payments, blockchain settlement infrastructure, embedded crypto wallets, and digital asset monetization models.

Shape strategic investments that position Paysafe as a preferred infrastructure partner for crypto platforms, fintech companies, and digital marketplaces.

Partner with executive leadership to influence roadmap priorities, platform strategy, and commercial growth initiatives.

Crypto & Digital Asset Industry Expertise

Serve as the internal domain expert on crypto payments, digital asset infrastructure, and blockchain-enabled financial services.

Translate industry developments into product opportunities including stablecoin settlement, decentralized finance integrations, cross-border payments, and blockchain-based financial infrastructure.

Maintain strong awareness of the evolving regulatory landscape governing digital assets and ensure product strategies align with global compliance requirements.

Represent Paysafe with strategic partners, crypto platforms, and industry stakeholders as a trusted payments and infrastructure expert.

End-to-End Ecosystem Ownership

Lead product initiatives that span the entire value chain from consumer fiat funding through digital asset transactions and merchant settlement, ensuring a cohesive and optimized experience.

Own complex initiatives involving multiple product lines including wallets, fiat-to-crypto rails, payment processing, fraud and risk capabilities, and compliance frameworks.

Platforms and Merchants:
Enable seamless integration of crypto funding, payouts, and settlement capabilities that support global scale and regulatory compliance.

Consumers:
Provide simple, secure, and trusted ways to buy, hold, move, and spend digital assets.

Cross-Functional Alignment and Executive Influence

Act as a senior partner to Engineering, Architecture, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Commercial leadership to drive alignment on large product initiatives.

Influence strategic decisions across multiple product organizations to ensure a unified approach to digital asset capabilities.

Present product strategy, progress, and investment opportunities to senior leadership and executive teams.

Navigate organizational complexity to unblock critical initiatives and accelerate delivery of high-impact capabilities.

Complex Program Leadership

Lead large cross-team programs that deliver mission-critical crypto infrastructure and payment capabilities.

Break down complex market opportunities into clear strategic initiatives and execution roadmaps.

Anticipate regulatory, operational, and technical challenges and proactively design mitigation strategies.

Ensure strong execution across teams while maintaining focus on long-term platform scalability.

Technical & Platform Leadership

Partner closely with engineering and architecture leaders to evolve the platform supporting digital asset payments and blockchain integrations.

Drive scalable solutions that support high transaction volumes, secure asset management, and global regulatory compliance.

Guide API strategy, blockchain integrations, and platform capabilities that enable partners to seamlessly integrate Paysafe’s crypto services.

Thought Leadership & Organizational Impact

Mentor product managers and elevate product management practices across the organization.

Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on crypto payment trends, blockchain innovation, and digital asset market dynamics.

Contribute to the broader product culture by raising standards for strategic thinking, customer insight, and execution excellence.

Qualifications

10+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of leading complex platform or ecosystem products.

Deep experience in crypto, digital assets, blockchain infrastructure, or fintech platforms.

Strong expertise in payments, wallets, or financial transaction infrastructure.

Strong understanding of global regulatory and compliance considerations for digital assets.

Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple teams and organizations.

Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic alignment across large organizations.

Strong technical fluency with APIs, payment infrastructure, blockchain integrations, and platform architecture.

Exceptional strategic thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.

Experience mentoring product managers and shaping product organizations.
