Position: Legal Counsel (m/f/d)

How we work:
The office is located in the Bikini Berlin building near Kurfürstendamm with easy access via public transport links. To foster team culture, we try as often as possible to meet in person in Berlin
What would be your major responsibilities?
- Providing legal advice with a focus on contract, commercial, corporate & payment services law
- Active management, drafting, negotiation, review + revision of contracts & terms & conditions
- Drafting & review of communications with business partners, consumers & public authorities
- Assisting internal departments & project teams in achieving corporate objectives effectively and in compliance with applicable laws, procedures and policies (e.g., launch of new countries, product initiatives,marketing and sponsorships)
- Collaborating on and leading projects with other departments and functions to ensure compliance due to changes in applicable legal & regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with & supervision of outside counsel in various jurisdictions
- Dealing with litigation matters (consumer + commercial) & responding to external legal inquiries
- Providing support on procurement, intercompany & corporate matters
- Active collaboration within the legal team
Is this you?
- Academic degree in law required; bar exam not required
- 2+ years’ specialized professional experience in commercial context & drafting.
- Expertise in the fields of commercial law / contractual law & e-commerce; strong preference for payment services experience
- Experience of cross-border & multi-jurisdictional contracts advantageous
- Proficient MS Office
- Proactive attitude, self-motivation
- A fast learner with highly developed analytical skills & a strong attention to detail
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility
- Hands-on mentality & an international mind-set
- Collaborative working style
- Relevant experience within (online) payment industry is an advantage
- Full proficiency in German & English is mandatory
